The module will cover how Windows Server 2012 delivers value in four key ways including how it takes you beyond virtualization, delivers the power of many servers, opens the door to every app on any cloud, and enables the modern workstyle.
This module will cover the advanced the features and functionality of Hyper-V. We will cover the extensions in live migration and live storage migration, network virtualization, and NIC-teaming. We will also cover the enhanced scalability and performance, which allows you to push the density of both single and clustered systems. Finally we will cover the new technologies such as the site-to-site connectivity and Hyper-V Replica along with some of the failover tools and out of the box management that comes with Hyper-V Replica.
This module covers the features in Windows Server 2012 that make managing groups of servers as straightforward as managing a single server. The module discusses the features is in three categories: the features that can be seen on each server, those that address a multi-server environment, and those that function across multiple sites. The module will cover the improvements that appear on a single server, such as file system availability, server core, protocol improvements and NIC teaming, the clustering and storage improvements for multi-server and finally improvements in function across sites such as online backup and Hyper-V Replica. This module will round off with a look at the central Server Manager UI and Windows PowerShell 3.0.
This module will cover the technologies behind the three main goals that Microsoft used as a guide when developing Windows Server 2012. The module covers a lot of ground, from Remote Desktop Services looking at the changes that have simplified the deployment and management of VDI, through the enhancements that enable remote users to get the full Windows Experience. The module will also cover the simplification of DirectAccess and improvements in Branch Office solutions.
This module covers the integration between Windows Server 2012 and the Cloud. The module covers how Windows Server 2012 allows you to build symmetrical and hybrid applications by using Windows Azure Service Bus. Windows Azure Connect, Virtual machine portability, Programming symmetry and Common development tools. Finally the module will cover the improves in the product to aid website density and efficiency, including FTP Logon Attempt Restriction, Dynamic IP Restriction, Server Name Indication, Application Initialization and IIS CPU Throttling, Centralized SSL Certificate Support.
