This module explains how Operations Manager is evolving to manage data centers and cloud infrastructures. We will explain how using Operations Manager gives you a set of management tools to monitor your whole environment, both the underlying physical infrastructure and the virtualized infrastructure. We will show you how Operations Manager fits with Microsoft’s cloud and datacenter management vision, to deliver common management experiences across the data center and private cloud environment.
This module gives an overview of the new simplified topology of Operations Manager and the improved deployment and upgrade experience. We will discuss the concept of application and infrastructure monitoring, as well as the steps to configure and deploy those services. As part of the configuration discussion, we will discuss how to upgrade from System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2, as well as ways to configure Operations Manager for high-availability.
