This Jump Start prepares field engineers, network administrators, and related IT professionals for acquiring the skills necessary to administer Office 365 for Small Business clients.

Chris and Steve will deliver this 200-level course via an accelerated, demo-rich learning experience. Hands-on Labs are not provided. Additionally, Stephen illustrates how administrators can choose between Portals and PowerShell as the primary tools to administer Office 365. The module finishes with both of these partners explaining the opportunity for Microsoft Partners as well as how and why partners should get started.
In this important module, Chris Oakman & Stephen Hall walk through User Management for Office 365 from a small business perspective. In the process, they cover Adding a New Domain to Office 365, Understanding & Adding Identities as well as key Desktop Configuration options and techniques.
This module features Chris Oakman and Stephen Hall providing an SMB-focused look at DirSync, Single Sign-on and ADFS. While it may be true that some aspects of these technologies are only appropriate for larger, enterprise deployments, it's essential that Office 365 certified professionals understand the options and can recognize when each are appropriate in SMB scenarios. Chris and Steve start the session by Reviewing Identities from an Office 365 perspective, then move to Understanding DirSync and DirSync Requirements. The last segment focuses on Understanding Single Sign-On & ADFS from an SMB perspective.
Stephen Hall and Chris Oakman provide an overview of Lync Online in this module. The session includes important information such as System Requirements, DNS & Network Settings as well as Lync Online Configuration. The last segment walks through important information during Setup, such as Domain Federation, Public IM, and Dial In Conferencing.

After providing a helpful overview of SharePoint Online and the SharePoint Features not currently available in Office 365, they focus on Customization & Extensibility, Storage, External Sharing, Subscription Plans and key Deployment Considerations.
This module is the first of four sessions where Chris Oakman and Stephen Hall focus on Exchange Online from a small business perspective. After an effective Service Overview, they cover Visibility and Control, Mailbox, Contact & Group Management, Mobile Device Management (Exchange ActiveSync).
Stephen Hall and Chris Oakman focus on deployment and migration options for Exchange Online in this second of four modules focused on Exchange Online for small businesses. The session begins with an important discussion about Deployment Considerations and a "Migration Options Decision Framework." Once the options are clear, Steve and Chris dive into the specifics of Simple Migrations, Exchange Cutover Migration, and Staged Migration.
In the third of four important modules covering Exchange Online for small businesses, Chris Oakman and Stephen Hall discuss Forefront Online Protection for Exchange. They begin with an overview of how FOPE provides high-accuracy spam filtering, multiple virus-scanning engines, that is tuned for Enterprise email and included with the Exchange Online subscription. Next they demonstrate options for FOPE Administration, Reporting, Auditing, Tracing, SLA and Support.
This module is the fourth of four modules where Chris Oakman and Stephen Hall cover Exchange Online from a small business perspective. This session focuses on archiving and compliance and covers key topics such as Personal Archive, Retention & Hold Policies, and Discovery.
